NOT Green with Envy

Just as location, location, location is the key to selling real estate, prepare, prepare, prepare is the key to a successful “green screen” video shoot. I found out quickly that “Hi, I’m Kimmie. . . and I don’t remember my next line,” made for a lengthy day in the studio. The videographer was extremely professional. What I lacked in preparedness, he abounded in patience. My “diva” requests for water, air circulation, hairbrush. . . POWDER!, never seemed out of the ordinary for this seasoned expert. At first, my audience of five found my bloopers to be quite humorous. But as the ten pounds of stage makeup began to melt off my face from the plethora of lights, taking my resolve with it, the decision was made to reduce the audience to one . . . the videographer and myself. My energy and enthusiasm returned and we had success soon after! I was assured that THREE HOURS for a 42-second video was not that bad. I came away from the experience with a new admiration for anyone facing off with a camera. When I do this again I will memorize my script, go barefooted, arrive hydrated, and have more confidence. I feel sure I will not be so “green” next time I do a “green screen” video shoot.

I am a subscriber to Dan Miller's 48 Days newsletter, and found your
website in his latest edition. What an excellent idea for a website you have!
Are you the owner/creator of viewthishome.com? Are you located in TN?
I am a videographer, and I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with
you. Please respond via the email address I provided in the comment form.
Again, GREAT job! Great post.
